We would like to start by saying welcome back students and staff after a long absence period. We are grateful to be back among you all and we hope everyone adapts well to the new changes. On behalf of everyone, we would like to say a massive congratulations to the Leaving Cert class of 2020 on your results. After a year of uncertainty and stress, you set the bar higher for us all, especially us current 6th years. We wish you all good fortune in the years to come.
To the First years, welcome to a new chapter in your educational journey. We hope you settle in well and don’t find these challenging circumstances too intimidating. Just know that you are not alone in these new changes to school life, and we are all in this together. We are delighted to have you with us here in Presentation.
Our hope is that everyone in our school community, students, staff and teachers, continue to thrive despite the current situation. We are confident that all students will make the best of the year and continue to prosper. We would like to say a special thanks to the staff for making our school as safe as possible for us all and to the teachers for providing immense continuous support. We are extremely grateful.
To our fellow 6th years, we are so happy to have spent our time here with such a wonderful group of people. We know that each of you will grow to be the best versions of yourselves. It’s time we work harder than ever in order to achieve our ambitions, but we are confident that our efforts will be rewarded. It’s been a quick six years filled with laughter and tears, success and failure. It has been an unforgettable experience. Sometimes you don’t know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
Lastly, we are pleased to say that, despite the circumstances, our positive school atmosphere has not changed. We are still a welcoming and kind school community. We need to be there for each other, especially now. Our hope is that we continue to support one another and be kind to everyone and ourselves. Good luck to all in the year ahead.
