Presentation Secondary School

Educating in Waterford since 1798

Presentation Secondary School, Waterford

About Us
Presentation Secondary School, Waterford is a Voluntary Catholic secondary school for girls under the trusteeship of Ceist and run by a Board of Management.

The school population in the academic year 2010/2011 is comprised of 385 girls.

We have been providing education for the young women of Waterford since 1798. Over two hundred years of excellence coupled with a tradition of care, makes us very proud of our school.

As President Mary McAleese remarked when she visited the school for its bicentenary celebrations:

‘the school is all about education…the education of the whole person was what Nano Nagle was all about, preparing young people, not just for exams, but for life with all its capriciousness, with all its cruelty, with all its joy and with all its love, making the best of what is given to us in life, trying to cope.'
